Wow what a beautiful service for Paul today and a wonderful tribute to his life. If everyone that was there just got a little piece of Paul's strength then we accompolished something. Like the song of TIm McGraw says "live like you were dying" and Paul did just that. What a wonderful father he must have been because his two sons could not have done what they did today if he had not beena n inspiration to them. Also what a wonderful tribute to Paul from his Father-In-Law. But first and foremost what a wonderful husband he must have been. He truly followed his vows. ALso he was a terriffic brother to ANgela and she will become the great star that he knew she could be as he will always be right there with her in spirit to make sure that she is that "STAR". Lastly as the minister said "WOW WHAT A SON" which is something Peggy and Pete have to hold on to as he was truly a son to be proud of. He will always be in your hearts and minds. Thank you Pete, Peggy and Angela for allowing us to know Paul.
Love to all especially the Petersons,
Thanks for being our friends. We love all of you.

Diane Peterson & family:
You have our condolences and best wishes for today’s service and everything that will follow. Thank you for sharing your request for prayer with us and members of the two congregations we are privileged to serve. We know from all that has been written that God’s miracle for your family is in the faith and response each of you had made to God’s love and grace. The only comfort we can take is in knowing that love and grace is far greater than any human loss and we will all partake of that love and grace in due course.
Since you have so kindly shared poetry which has helped you through this most difficult time, we are pleased to share with you a poem penned by an elderly saint in our Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer in Texarkana entitled “Be Not Afraid.”
BE NOT AFRAID
By: Sandy Burnett
And Jesus said, “Be not afraid only believe.”
When we speak of Him we do not deceive
We do need to try to let others know
How much we love Him and let it show.
In the way we live each day
And in the way we often pray
Showing and telling others of His care
And when He is needed He is always there.
He really cares for me and you
And we all know that this is so true
So we Thank You Lord with all your heart
And ask you help as each day we start!
Rejoice, Your Friends in Christ,

I have had the pleasure of knowing Diane for about 10 years. We met when we were sharing a classroom and I taught Junior US History and she taught Junior English III at Friendswood High School. We won the costume contest for Halloween when we dressed as Mickey and Minnie mouse and also she wore a red wig, black miniskirt, tall boots and red shirt so that we could be "twins" for Red Ribbon week! We made the yearbook for that one. I came to know Paul through Diane and know that they had a strong loving marriage. Diane always talked to her students about her boys and husband and it was clearly evident that she was deeply devoted to her family. We had some good times together as couples- going to Barcena's before prom, hanging out at Sherlock's, seeing Angela perform, and most recently, having Diane as a shoulder to cry on when my marriage dissolved and I went through some tough changes in my career. She is one in a million. I love her so much and just know that although this is a horrible tragedy, God has a purpose and that Paul is at rest. I love you always Diane. You are a true friend. I will always be here for you.

What a beautiful family we have been allowed to cross paths with over the past years. We are honored and blessed to have known Paul Peterson. We will miss his presence here on earth, but we know and hold on to the assurance that we will meet again.
Our love and prayers will continue on behalf of the entire Peterson family.

Thank you for the opportunity to see Jesus throughout Paul's battle. I will continue to pray for your precious family, and I know that God will continue to bless you.

Prayers of strength and comfort are with you and the boys! When I think of Paul, I think of a hard worker that made it possible for you to stay home with William when you needed to and continue your education. What a wonderful provider!!!! Love you Diane.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. Something that has helped my family and I during times like these is a text from God's word. It is found at Revelation 21:3,4. In part it tells us God will wipe all tears from our eyes and death will be no more. It is our sincere hope that you and your family will find comfort in the promises of God's word.

My prayers are with all of Paul's family and all who will miss him so very, very much.
Paul made such a difference in so many lives during his short life. I thank God for the opportunity to for getting to know Paul and Diane even if it was only through the electronic media.
Love and Prayers,

Our hearts and prayers are with the whole family at this difficult time. Paul has gone to a very special place that we all hope to see but there is no doubt that he is there. He was such an inspiration to all. Peggy Pete and ANgela we love you.
