LUCY NEAL FLETCHER INGRAM, born February 4, 1915, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away January 29, 2004. She was 88 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Clara Fletcher; sister, Thelma Emmons; brother, Joey Fletcher; and her husband of 50 years, Al Ingram.
Lucy was a long-time resident of Pasadena and Houston, Texas. She leaves this world after watching her two daughters, six grandchildren, eleven great-granchildren and two great-great-grandchildren become a part of this family to carry on its history. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Clair Ingram McMullen and husband, Don, Rose Ingram Avera and wife, Neta, Donna McMullen Wright and husband, Mike, Joe Avera and wife, Angelica, Jerry Avera, Jamie Avera and Dorothy Perez; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also her much-loved niece and nephew and numerous friends.
Love of family was passed down thru the generations by telling of stories about past generations so those remaining would feel they were all connected to those who had gone before and the family history would continue. Your stories can be chronicled here in the tribute section of this website.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 7, 2004 at Cypress-Fairbanks Funerl Home, 9926 Jones Road with a reception following in the library of Cypress-Fairbanks.
Officiating the service will be Reverend Kevin Kissel of Cypress United Methodist Church.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Houston Hospice, 5206 FM 1960 West, Houston, TX 77069 to continue the wonderful caring help they provide to patients and families as their loved ones cross over from this world into the next.
