Allen T. Tinkham
Allen T. Tinkham was born in Windsor, NC on November 7, 1942 to Hilda and Hallie Tinkham. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1961and married his high school sweetheart the former Jean Earley of Ahoskie, NC on January 1, 1963. Among Allen's early assignments was an overseas tour in Korea. He received his commission after graduating from Auburn University in 1968 and went on to receive a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University in 1971. After numerous assignments he retired from active duty as a Major in 1982. As a civilian, Allen taught at several colleges. He also worked for a number of years for the United States Civil Service until he retired in Houston in 2002. Allen enjoyed genealogy and was a member of the Mayflower Society. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and playing Joker with the seniors. He was an active member of Jersey Village Baptist Church. Allen loved the Lord, his family and adored his two grandchildren. He will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.
