Michael Patrick Hussey, Sr., born September 6, 1941 passed away on April 2, 2011, after bravely fighting a year long battle with cancer. Michael retired from the New Orleans Police Department as Deputy Commander of the Crime Lab, and moved to Houston in 1988 when he married Reba Hussey. He loved God, his family and he loved life. He was a great artist and fantastic cook. Michael is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Aaron. He is survived by his loving wife Reba; sons, Michael Jr. and wife, Pam, David and wife, Jenny, and Aaron and girlfriend, Jennifer; daughters, Anne Campo and husband Eric, Beth Butler and husband Brad; step-son, Coby Collier and wife, Anne; step-daughters, Karen Anderson, Denise Stover and husband, Stan; seventeen loving grandchildren whom he adored; brother, Paul and wife, Barbara; sister, Belva Bergeron, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Michael was loved by all and we will miss him forever. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, if desired, contributions to Cancer Research or Houston Hospice would be appreciated.
