We rejoice knowing that Glenn is with the Lord now, but his sweet presence will be missed greatly at Church. His smile would always cheer us up and his words, always encouraging, will be missed as well.
Our prayers are with Dorothy and their children. May the Lord comfort your hearts and fill them with the hope of glory that awaits all those who have placed their trust in HIM.

Glenn was everything good in the world wrapped up in one package- always positive, happy, laughing, joking. He was caring about others and always enjoyed life, no matter what. I enjoyed working with him at Blinn so, so much. He was a superb mentor and role model. He was always a bright ray of sunshine everywhere he went. I remember as it became harder for him to get around, he used a walker with wheels that had a horn attached to it that he would honk for fun. If everyone could model their personalities after him, the whole world would be a very fun, very happy, and much better place! He will be missed so, so much. These words just cannot express how much of a loss this is for so many folks, the quality of life he led, and how much he accomplished in this world.

I am glad to have met Glenn, and sorry not to have the opportunity to know him better. His smiling, bright-eyed interest helped make my family and me feel welcome and at-home. Glad for the hope of knowing Glenn better in the eternal home that Jesus has prepared for His own (John 14:1-6).

Dorothy, we know these are difficult times for you and the rest of your family. However, be assured that Glenn is now free of any earthly suffering. It was a pleasure to work with Glenn at Blinn and to have him as a friend. Everybody thought he was such a nice person.

In all our life as cousins I think of Glenn as always smiling or being thoughtful. He usually called me up on my birthdays--which were easy to remember since ours were on the same day. Although we didn't see each other often in the years since our childhood, when we did get together he always encouraged me in my studies, gave me helpful hints about cooking, and told me stories that showed how much he loved his kids and grandkids. He also had a special love and interest in his relatives and ancestors who had gone before, so he liked to meet with those who could tell him facts about the history of his family. He's probably celebrating and laughing with his family and friends right now in the Banquet Hall of Heaven! Only a few weeks ago, as difficult as it was for him to get around, he wouldn't be satisfied without somehow managing to drive out in the country to see his Uncle Bob in Conroe. It's been an inspiration to me to see how Glenn has carried his long illness over the recent years with smiles and laughter. He wasn't afraid or ashamed to fall down--He said, "Oh somebody is always glad to pick me up!" He was a sensitive and talented person, who loved beautiful things (which is why he married Dorothy, I'm sure). He sang well, played the clarinet in the University of Texas band, and was good at amateur acting. One of the happy memories of my youth is of going to a Texas versus Aggie traditional Thanksgiving Day game with him and Dorothy when they were engaged to be married. He and Dorothy had great experiences living abroad where he taught business courses, and then he taught for years at two colleges here in Texas. He loved teaching and never wanted to retire. He was an outgoing "people-person." Everybody who met or knew Glenn remarked what a nice man he was. He was a blessing to many people. He liked to enjoy life, come rain or shine.

We will miss Glenn but we are rejoicing that he is young and spry in Heaven with his Savior Jesus Christ. Absent from the body and present with the LORD. We were blessed to have you in our church.

Glenn was the smiling-est, non-complaining person I've ever met! He had plenty of reasons to not be either but he never was. No matter how badly he was feeling, he was always full of joy and thanking God for another beautiful day. I will surely miss him...a little light just went out of my life.
