Harold C. Burright Jr., 84, of Cypress, Texas passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 after a short illness. He was born in Bartow, Florida on May 27, 1927. Harold graduated from the Summerlin Institute and attended Florida State University. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Lois Mercer Burright and their three children: daughter Eve Ford and her husband Steve, daughter Cindy Gatons and her husband Mike and grandson Michael, son Hal Burright, nephew Larry Chesser and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughter Ann Dunham. Throughout his life, Harold was known as resourceful and inventive—talents he put to good use during his service with the Bartow Volunteer Fire Department and at Kennedy Space Center. His generous nature and versatile skills were valued by the many people and organizations he assisted. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Groves, Texas at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 by Pastor Joe Worley.
