Antonina Vogel passed away June 10, 2012. She was born May 20, 1937 in Tsingtao, China, the daughter of Nicolas and Pauline Balabouhin. She immigrated with her family to Australia in 1948 and grew up in the Brisbane attending school and then working for the Singer Company. She met her husband while he was on a work assignment in Australia and they married September 20, 1958. Later she lived for 15 years in Venezuela where her husband was employed by Gulf Oil.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; son, Michael and his wife, Cindy; son, John, wife Michele and their son, Cole; daughter, Karen; sisters, Tania and her husband, Max, Irene and Lydia; brothers, John and Alexander. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gabriel, and brothers-in-law, Lyle McLellan and Parker Mossman.
A funeral mass is scheduled at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 19222 Tomball Parkway (Hwy 249), for 11:00AM, Saturday, June 23, 2012. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Immediately following the funeral mass, family and friends will gather at a meeting room at the Prince of Peace Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Prince of Peace Church or Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity, 335 East 145th Street, Bronx, NY.
