You are the most gracious person that I know. We loved you so much and your death is such an overwhelming void. We will continue to care and be there for Mike & Jim.
Billie passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the age of 58 following a long and courageous fight with diabetes.
She was born November 29, 1953 in El Campo, Texas, and graduated from Waltrip High School in Houston in 1973. She went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company on June 4, 1973, and retired after 30 years of exemplary service on September 4, 2003.
Although she was very dedicated to her job, it was only a small part of her life. Billie was married to Michael James (Mike) Musselwhite on July 17, 1976, and they had a son, James Michael (Jim) Musselwhite, born December 8, 1988.
Billie is survived by her husband Mike, her son Jim.
Billie was loved by many more than just Mike and Jimmy. Here is a list of but a few. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Edward Griffith in 2010, Aunt Margaret Voight in May 2012, and niece Marie Rhodes in 1983. She is survived by her parents, Billy Richard and Alta Clark Griffith, sisters Donna Rae Griffith with Charles, Kathy Sue Ogden with Husband James, Son Billy Allen Rhodes, great niece Zoie, Alta Elaine Hardy with Husband William (Bill), Daughter Krystal, Son Martin, Deady Ortego with Husband James, Daughter Jennifer Moir, two Great Nephews David and Marc Moir and Thomas’ wife Regina, Daughters Lara and Ellen Griffith. Billie is also survived by a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Numerous friends.
There are so many memories of Billie and people she loved. We want to mention them all and it is impossible. She was special in some way to all of us here. But the point was that her life was lived fully, and it was a good life. She loves so much watching The Houston Texans. Her brother Thomas was a big fan of the Titans, and there was always a competition of their team winning.
Mike was caregiver to Billie from beginning of her troubles with Diabetes starting in 1982, standing by her until the end, through the good and the bad. Their immediate family, aunts, cousins, nieces and close friends were there by Mike side also to help with all of the hospitals care.
