Andrea Caryn Macejak

Andrea Caryn Macejak (née Beazley) passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 in Jersey Village, Texas, after a long battle with cancer. She was born October 25, 1970, to Merrilee Caryn Beazley (née Rosene), who predeceased her in 2022, and William George Beazley, who lives in Cypress, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Anna Carynna Boling (née Macejak) (Jazyn), her brother William (Rachel), their three children, William, Olof, Amelia, and her brother Robert Charles Beazley, all of Jersey Village, Texas. She is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

Andrea attended University of Texas in Austin, TX, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA and University of Houston Downtown in Houston, TX. Over the course of many years, she majored in Art History, Biology, Music, Education, etc., before receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in General Studies at UHD. She was also in the process of acquiring her Masters Degree in Education at UHD. As a lover of music and theater she had multiple voice and piano students over the years in Louisiana and Texas. She led several adult education programs for the Society of Piping Engineers and Designers at Houston Community College. She was a certified teacher in Texas, teaching at Shotwell and Stovall Middle Schools, in Aldine ISD. 

Besides English, she spoke some Spanish and a little Greek. She spent a year in Greece as a nanny to a State Department friend of her mother’s. She sang in the choir of Second Baptist Church for years and supported the arts and education up until her death. A world-class editor and proofreader, she edited several papers and books for her father and other authors. She had just completed a children’s book in the weeks before she died.

Of her many roles, she saw herself as a teacher, coach and mentor. Hundreds have been lifted up by her over the years and are saddened by her passing. Andrea will live on in them.
